SCI, CMA-CGM AND CONTSHIP TO UPGRADE INDIA/U.S. LINK    Shipping Corp. of India, CMA-CGM and Contship Containerlines will uprade to weekly the frequency of their joint, direct service between the Indian Subcontinent and the U.S. East Coast as from mid-July.
   The three carriers will also add calls at the port of Savannah to the service, a spokesman for the Shipping Corp. of India said.
   The “Indamex” service, commenced in March, will use eight ships instead of the current four from July, when sailings will be doubled in frequency.
   One of the few direct liner services in the U.S./India trade, the “Indamex” has a rotation of New York, Norfolk, Charleston, Gioia Tauro, Port Said, Jeddah, Colombo, Mumbai, New York, Norfolk and Charleston.
