Mediterranean Shipping Co. is still awaiting approval of Chinese
authorities to start weekly calls at Chiwan and Shanghai on a new Pacific
service that starts this week.
The first sailing of the transpacific service leaves Hong Kong on Saturday.
Mediterranean Shipping plans a weekly service calling at Yokohama,
Busan, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Shanghai, Los Angeles and Oakland.
The line has applied to the Chinese Ministry of Communication for the
right to have calls at Chiwan and Shanghai.
