J.B. Hunt finalizes Cory 1st Choice acquisition

With the acquisition, J.B. Hunt’s Final Mile division has grown to 100 locations and 3.1 million square feet of warehouses and facilities space.    J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. announced Monday the completion of its acquisition of Cory 1st Choice Home Delivery.
   The transaction, which was announced Jan. 9 as a $100 million definitive agreement, closed and became effective Friday.
   Cory’s home delivery service will be integrated with J.B. Hunt’s Final Mile division of its Dedicated Contract Services business unit. The Final Mile division, which operates one of the largest, co-mingled cross-dock operations and can serve 100 percent of the contingent U.S., has grown to include 100 locations and more than 3.1 million square feet of warehouse and facilities space with the Cory acquisition.
