Intermarine, the New Orleans-based breakbulk, project and heavy-lift
carrier, has contracted for four new 6,300-deadweight-ton ships.
The new vessels have capacity for 7,100 cubic meters of grain or bales
or 360 TEUs. Two of the ships will handle heavy lifts of up to 120 metric
tons with two shipboard cranes, while two others will handle up to 160 tons.
The ships will be delivered between this month and June.
