EUROPE/INDIA/PAKISTAN CARRIERS WARN OF WAR RISK SURCHARGE    The India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conference, a group of ocean carriers in the Europe/Indian Subcontinent trade, have warned shippers that they expect to face additional war risk insurance costs for vessels calling or transiting the region.
   “At the time of writing, precise details of terms and extra costs involved are not available,” the conference said. “But (conference shipping) lines wish to advise that, in the circumstances, they would have no option but to on pass these war risk insurance and other related costs to customers with immediate effect,” the carrier group said.
   The India Pakistan Bangladesh Ceylon Conference carriers are Andrew Weir Shipping (Ellerman), Bangladesh Shipping Corp., Ceylon Shipping Corp., CMA CGM,    Contship Containerlines, Hapag-Lloyd, Himalaya Express, Maersk Sealand, Pakistan National Shipping Corp., P&O Nedlloyd, Rickmers Linie, Safmarine, Shipping Corporation of India, United Arab Shipping Co., Yangming Line and Zim Israel Navigation Co.
