DHL Global Forwarding has picked Tim Robertson to serve as its new CEO for the Americas, effective Thursday.
Robertson succeeds Bill Meahl, who will retire from the division of German courier Deutsche Post DHL Group (OTCMKTS: DPSGY) next September.
Robertson joined DHL in 2002 as vice president of strategic development for the forwarding division. He also served in senior management positions involving the company’s operations, business development and marketing and sales in the Americas and Europe. He was appointed chief information officer for DHL Global Forwarding Americas in 2018.
In his new role, he is responsible for the management of DHL Global Forwarding’s business activities in the Americas, which includes more than 7,500 employees in 16 countries.
Meahl is credited in his role as CEO for growing DHL Global Forwarding’s revenue, market share and network in the Americas, such as expanding operations in Indiana, Costa Rica and Mexico.
Meahl will continue to serve in an advisory role at DHL Global Forwarding until his retirement.
