Delta reports $9B drop in Q3 revenue

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) reported quarterly losses of $3.30 per share, which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $3 by 10%. This is a 242% decrease over earnings of $2.32 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $3.1 billion. This is a 76% decrease over sales of $12.6 billion in the same period last year due to the coronavirus killing off significant travel demand. Shares of Delta fell 2.9% in premarket trading after the company reported Q3 results.
