net income last year of 56 million Swiss francs ($41 million), compared
with 36 million Swiss francs in 1997.
Gross sales rose to 7.2 billion Swiss francs ($5.2 billion) from 6.9 billion.
Net sales increased to 4.8 billion Swiss francs ($3.5 billion) from 4.6 billion.
