Costa Rican pineapples arrive at Port Tampa Bay

Port Logistics Refrigerated Services is operating a new 130,000-square-foot on-dock cold storage facility.    Port Tampa Bay and cold storage tenant Port Logistics Refrigerated Services received their first shipment of Costa Rican pineapples Saturday.
   Seacat Line delivered the refrigerated containers of fresh pineapples from Port of Moin aboard the new vessel M/V Juice Express for customer Chestnut Hills Farms.
   “This new routing provides us with excellent access to serve our customers in Florida and throughout the Southeastern United States,” said Raul Romero, president and COO of Chestnut Hills Farms.
   Seacat Line operates M/V Juice Express, a combination juice tanker and containership, on a regular service between Costa Rica and Port Tampa Bay on behalf of Seatrade Reefer Chartering and Tampa Juice.
   Port Logistics Refrigerated Services operates a new 130,000-square-foot on-dock cold storage facility at Port Tampa Bay with onsite U.S. Department of Agriculture/Customs and Border Protection inspection and fumigation services, 102 refrigerated container plugs and an adjacent deep-water berth and a dedicated mobile harbor crane.
