COSCO Container Lines, the container shipping arm of the China Ocean
Shipping Co. group, has issued new cargo delivery and claims handling procedures to its
agents.
Saying that "accidents and problems still occur" in its daily
operations in relation to cargo delivery and documentation, COSCO urged its agents around
the world to "strictly act in accordance with (set) procedures."
The procedures on cargo delivery spell out checks to establish that a bill of lading is
original and conditions to be met before releasing cargo to a consignee.
