BAX Global, the integrated air freight carrier subsidiary of The
Pittston Co., has opened an office in Bangkok, Thailand, providing air and ocean
forwarding, customs brokerage and logistics services.
BAX, which has operated in Thailand through an agent since 1984, expects the
company-owned office to improve the quality of service available to importers and
exporters in the southeast Asian nation.
Steve Whittingham will head up the new operation.
