The inaugural Freight.Tech 25 is announced, with Amazon leading the way

Twenty five companies whose work in technology innovation were crowned as the first members of the Freight.Tech25 at Marketwaves18.

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) led the list, finishing #1 as a result of the votes of a pane of 60 judges. Ranked #2 was supply chain platform project44, followed by Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), Convoy and truckload carrier J.B Hunt (NASDAQ: JBHT), whose Hunt360 tool shows how an old-line transportation company can not only adopt new technology, but can lead its development as well.

The voting for the Freight.Tech25 started with nominations that produced a list of approximately 200 entities eligible for consideration, though that list of 200 was drawn from more than 500 nominations. That list was then pared down to the FreightTech100, announced prior to the Marketwaves conference. All members of the Freight.Tech25 were drawn from that list of 100, and were chosen following the consideration of 60 judges selected by FreightWaves. The judges ranked the companies on a 1-25 point basis.
