“Over the weekend we were able to clean up all backlogs of freight, and we are now running a normal operation,” Donaway said.
The service guarantees do not include areas still effected by last week's terrorist attacks.
Also Monday, Emery Worldwide said its heavyweight cargo transportation system was operating at capacity, including schedules within the United States, and to and from Canada, Mexico and Europe.
Emery said all shipments were available for delivery to customers Monday morning. The company added three extra MD-11 route trips between its hubs in Brussels and Dayton, Ohio, and worked closely with U.S. Customs Service to ensure that import shipments were cleared over the weekend.
The Redwood City, Calif.-based company said it expected to operate 100 percent of its schedule this week.
